Bruce Willis, star of the Die Hard movies, is not just an action hero in movies. He was witnessed being an every day action hero in real life too.
Earlier this week, Adam Neville, a Los Angeles area 15 year old, was at the mouth of a driveway with his bicycle waiting for an opportunity to cross the busy street. The cars kept coming from both directions. Adam was getting frustrated, thinking he would never be able to make the cross.
Willis, apparently, saw the boy and decided to help him in his endeavor to make his way clear across the street safely.
"I've always been someone who likes to help and I have a special place in my heart for young people in need," Willis explained to FF (Fakety Fake).
The gracefully balding celebrity, took action by driving his car suddenly into oncoming traffic. Just before he hit an oncoming city bus, he swerved, crashing into the bus with the back end of his car. The city bus careened out of control and into a bus stop that was on the opposite corner of the street. After smashing through the glass of the stop and twisting and bending the metal frame, the bus slid on its side bringing down a hydro pole which was left lying on the bus while the passengers tried to get their bearings. The bus situated across the right lane, blocking all traffic.
That took care of the traffic on the right lane, which started building up quickly, but the left lane was still moving, albeit very slowly due to the bus lying on its side. Neville stood at the end of the driveway still waiting for his opportunity.
Willis crawled out of his vehicle, which had rolled a number of times, he was bleeding from his head. He looked over the scene and became aware of the left lane's continual movement.
Once again, Willis took determined action. He ran past the smoking and sparking bus and threw himself in front of a slowly moving Cadillac. He forcefully put his hands flat on the hood and stared at the driver, who was an elderly female, with a look that said, "don't move".
He walked over to the driver's side door and ripped it clean off. Then he reached in and tried pulling the woman out. She was wearing a seatbelt. Willis, a truly lovely fellow, pulled out a big combat knife and sliced the seatbelt off of the woman. Next thing she knew, she was lying on the sidewalk while Bruce Willis began operating her vehicle.
He drove the Cadillac down a side street. All the angry drivers and bystanders wondered where the tired ex husband of Demi Moore was going. A few seconds later, just before the police showed up, Willis came tearing out of a different side street and directly into the back side area of a slowly moving BMW.
The Cadillac smashed into a house as Willis dove from the driver's seat onto the grass beside the waiting Neville. The BMW spun around taking the Hyundai, that was coming up behind it, with it.
The kind actor stood and approached Neville who was standing wide-eyed. "I was so afraid of what he might do to me, but then he just said, 'it's time to cross the street, now'."
As Willis walked with Neville, everyone that wasn't trapped in a vehicle or waiting for an ambulance clapped and cheered. Those who didn't clap and cheer only didn't because they believed the whole ordeal to be a movie sequence and didn't want to ruin the take.
A police officer approached the two making their way across the street and nodded at Willis. "I'll take it from here," he said.
Willis smiled, mussed up Neville's hair and turned to go. The officer smiled watching the brave action hero make his way to the other side of the street to where the ambulance was treating the elderly woman who was having heart problems.
Just then, a male came out of the house connected to the driveway Neville had been standing in. "Hey, that kid has my bike!" He yelled. Neville turned wide-eyed and then took of running. The officer grabbed his head and his mouth made a perfect circle. Willis ran in slow motion right in front of his face as he said, "Here we go again!"
